With the Galactic Core of the Milky Way rising in the East, the weathered shell of the Tuahine Point Lighthouse stands with a timeless resilience. As night wrapped its quiet cloak around the headland, my eyes adjusted to the brilliant stars etched across the sky. The bright star just above the horizon is Mars, rising in close proximity to Earth. Being able to drive just ten minutes from my town and see every star with the naked eye never ceases to amaze me. It’s a rare privilege to have this experience so close to home.
