Tairāwhiti Gisborne. A land of east-south-east proximity where the skies are dark, the cliffs are brittle and the dawns consistently bright. A place with a rich and varied settlement history where the first arrived by sea. The ocean here is alive and nourishing - it's the shaper and giver of life. This collection is driven by celestial alignments captured across various corners of the region over a 5 year period. It's the place that's always been my home - this is my take on it. Please enjoy.
